Best Series

I love few series but the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind would have to be my favorite. Wizards First Rule was given to me by my fiance when we first started dating 10+ years ago and it was the first fantasy book I'd ever read.

30 Day Challenge - Day 2

A Game of Thrones - George R.R. Martin

Book I've Read 3 Times

I normally hate re-reading books. Whats the point when there are so many books and so little time. But when an author takes years and years and years to write the next book in the series you kinda have to re-read so you actually know whats going on.

I first read Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin in the late 90's/early 2000's - right before the 2nd book came out. I now re-read all the books in the series everytime Martin releases a new book.

Mistborn Trilogy Boxed Set - Brandon Sanderson

Finally done book 2 of this massive trilogy. The series is really good but damn...it's taking me forever to finish. I blame it on the goodreads drama!

30 Day Challenge - Day 1 (a day late)

Outlander - Diana Gabaldon

Best Book Read Last Year

Outlander by Diana Gabaldon was the best book I read last year.

This is my mom's all time favorite book and she has tried getting me to read it for years. She loves romancey, lovely dovey books and I don't. So hearing that this is a time travel, love story was enough to make my stomach turn. But, like the good daughter  that I am I tried, multiple times, to read this book but couldn't get past the first 50 pages. Until last year, that is. I had absolutely nothing to read and I didn't feel like rereading anything so I thought WTH. Imagine my surprise when I finished this huge book in 2 days and LOVED it. It's not just a love story - it's everything all rolled into one.
